Kappa FuturFestival 2025: Techno, AI, and Art at Parco Dora

The 12th edition of Kappa FuturFestival took place July 4-6, 2025 at Parco Dora in Turin, drawing over 120,000 attendees from 150 countries. The festival featured a new Lab Stage for electronic jam sessions with 4-6 DJs, and hosted the first AI co-produced electronic music contest, a format set to continue for five years in collaboration with Reply, a Turin-based IT consultancy. The Nova stage expanded, hosting exclusive Italian performances by Soulwax (with three drum kits and vintage synthesizers) and Floating Points, whose visuals by Akiko Nakayama complemented the stage's new arches. Other stages included Solar, Voyager, Futur, and Kosmo. Highlights included Anyma (Matteo Milleri) on Voyager, Seth Troxler back-to-back with DJ Tennis on Futur, Barbara Lago and Daniella Da Silva on Solar, and Nico Moreno's gabber set. Donato Dozzi and DJ Hell performed on the stage framed by Marinella Senatore's artwork. A posthumous tribute to Oliviero Toscani featured his photographic project 'Razza Umana' projected on the Voyager stage, which stands before Mario Botta's Church of the Holy Face with its bell tower built from a former chimney. The festival, organized by Movement, emphasized art, culture, and meticulous attention to technical aspects, logistics, and safety.
