Kandinsky's Influence on Italian Abstract Art Explored in Gallarate Exhibition
From November 30, 2025, to April 12, 2026, the MA*GA museum in Gallarate will present 'Kandinsky e l'Italia' as part of the Cultural Olympiad coinciding with the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. This exhibition, co-curated by Elisabetta Barisoni and Emma Zanella, showcases 130 pieces that explore Wassily Kandinsky's influence on abstract art, particularly within the context of Italian abstract art from the 1930s to the 1950s. A segment of the exhibition will delve into the cultural environment of the 1920s and 30s, shaped by Kandinsky's teachings at the Bauhaus.
