Kandinsky Retrospective at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome After 25 Years
From September 15, 2026, to February 14, 2027, Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome will present a significant retrospective dedicated to Vassily Kandinsky. Curated by Angela Lampe, the exhibition showcases more than 70 artworks, mainly sourced from the Centre Pompidou, and charts Kandinsky's artistic evolution from Moscow to Paris. Featured highlights include 'Gelb-Rot-Blau' (1925) and 'The Black Arc' (1912). A special section will honor Gabriele Münter, Kandinsky's partner, as well as Nina Kandinsky's contributions to his legacy. The exhibition is supported by the French Embassy in Italy, the Lazio Region, and the City of Rome, and will include an immersive room. Visitors can attend from Monday to Thursday, 9am-7:30pm, and Friday to Sunday, 9am-9pm.
