Kamran Samimi's Dubai Exhibition Explores Desert Narratives

Kamran Samimi will present 'Before Nature (I Am Both Created and Destroyed)' at The Third Line in Dubai, UAE, opening in January 2025. The exhibition draws inspiration from the desert landscape and ancient tales embedded in the region's natural materials. Key works include 'Translations (2023)', which explores beneath Dubai's contemporary architecture; 'Small Monuments (2023)', featuring stones from significant global locations; 'Rain Paintings (2023)', a homage to Samimi's childhood in rural Hawai'i; and the central sculpture 'Unbroken Column (2023)', crafted from limestone segments that reference ancient religious structures.
