Kamen: diffused museum of Aurisina marble quarries opens in Trieste

On October 15, 2022, the Kamen museum, which focuses on Aurisina stone and its quarries, was officially opened in the Karst area close to Trieste. The initiative, spearheaded by Fabiola Faidiga from Associazione Casa C.A.V.E., works in partnership with local businesses and marble producers. The museum's mission is to enhance the region through artistic routes, land art, exhibitions, artistic residencies, and culinary experiences. This launch follows the conclusion of the eighth edition of the L'Energia dei Luoghi festival on September 11, 2022, which included workshops and residencies organized by Eva Comuzzi. An event featuring artist Fabio Viale and geologist Antonio Klingendrath is scheduled for October 29, 2022. Aurisina stone has been used in many significant monuments throughout history.
