Kailua House by Mork-Ulnes Architects Completed in Hawaii

architecture-design · 2026-04-01

Mork-Ulnes Architects has completed the Kailua House, a 476 m² residence on Oahu's Windward shore. Located near Kailua Beach, the house offers peekaboo views of the Pacific Ocean and Mokulua Islands. Due to dense neighborhood surroundings, the design turns inward toward a lush jungle landscape, celebrating Hawaiian island energy. The project team includes Casper Mork-Ulnes, Lexie Mork-Ulnes, Robert Scott, Will Dolin, and Greg Ladigin. Landscape architecture was handled by Terremoto, with local design by Fujita Netski Architecture. Structural engineering was provided by Delta Engineering and Bahman Kheradpey. The general contractor was Concept 2 Completion. Photographs were taken by Joe Fletcher.
