KADIST Seeks Library Intern to Overhaul 1,500-Volume Collection in Paris

KADIST is offering a library and documentation internship focused on reorganizing its physical and digital collection of approximately 1,500 publications. The intern will conduct a critical analysis and inventory of the holdings, which include monographs, artist books, exhibition catalogs, theoretical essays, and specialized journals. A key responsibility involves designing and implementing a new intellectual and physical classification system. This includes creating an online database via the Libib web-based library management platform, with filters for themes, dates, mediums, and regions. The role also entails rethinking the physical layout of the collection for better ergonomics and defining a labeling system. The internship runs from June 1, 2026, to July 17, 2026, requiring 35 hours per week. Work will take place at KADIST's offices and library located at 19bis Rue des Trois Frères, 75018 Paris. The position reports to the programs officer, Anna Ezequel. Applicants must be Master's students in information science, documentation, or library management, with autonomy, organizational skills, and an interest in contemporary art. The internship is compensated with a 1,000€ stipend for the entire period, 50% Navigo pass reimbursement, and one meal provided weekly.
