Kabinett launches Alberto Di Fabio video works
New York-based startup Kabinett, founded by Eduardo Costantini with partner Daniel Kruglikov, has launched a mobile app and website for sharing curated contemporary art, music, and film content. The platform features two main sections: The Screening Room, which presents original video art, music videos, and short films, and The Journal, a user-generated content space. For its Italian art debut, Kabinett selected two videos by Alberto Di Fabio (born 1966 in Avezzano), shot and edited by Francesco Ricci (aka SKINO), a director, photographer, and founder of Quinta Studio Roma. From June 14, the video "Particella di Dio" will be available, first screened at Di Fabio's solo show "Cosmicamente" at MACRO TESTACCIO, showing the artist painting the museum walls with a gesture toward cosmic mysticism. From June 21, "Diaries of an Artist" will be released, originally created to document a wall painting for GR Gallery in New York but evolving into a compendium of the artist's private life between intimacy and personal meditations.
