K11 Group and ArtReview Name 20 Residents for Inaugural Wuhan Residency

The K11 Group and ArtReview have selected 20 artists from 9 countries and regions for the first edition of their joint Artist-in-Residence Programme, set to take place at K11 Art Village in Wuhan from July 2023 to June 2024. The international open call drew over 220 applications from more than 40 countries. Residents will receive integrated studio and living spaces, participate in a group exhibition, and engage in curated outreach including studio visits, seminars, and exchanges with local practitioners. An international Masterclass series will facilitate dialogue between emerging Chinese practitioners and the global art scene, with the first batch of five residents mentored by acclaimed artist Zhang Enli. The residents are divided into four periods: Period 1 (July–September 2023) includes Coco He, Cosmo Guo, Gerry Li, Ziyi Zhao, and Xiaocong Ge; Period 2 (October–December 2023) includes Lin Zhu, Emanuele Dainotti and Roel Heremans (duo), CAS Lab (Ganquan Tan, Peisheng Wang, Dingfen Guo), Pongyu Wai, and Olutayo Aje; Period 3 (January–March 2024) includes Tianyi Zheng, Zoë Marden, Chris Ro, Frank Wang, and Satoshi Fujiwara; Period 4 (April–June 2024) includes Ruofan Chen, Tingwei Li, Neelambari Phalkey, Chen Pin tao, and Rita Benissan.
