Justine Tjallinks's Enigmatic Portraits at Musée de la Photographie Charles Nègre

The Musée de la Photographie Charles Nègre in Nice will host Justine Tjallinks's inaugural solo exhibition, titled 'Vision,' from February 14 to May 24. This exhibition showcases approximately sixty portraits, including several new pieces. Drawing inspiration from the Dutch masters at the Rijksmuseum, Tjallinks emphasizes the uniqueness and flaws of faces, sourcing models from Amsterdam and The Hague. She creates scenes, outfits her subjects, and applies digital enhancements to her images. Earlier works explored themes such as alopecia, vitiligo, Down syndrome, and albinism, while her current focus is on expressing inner truth. Born in Warnsveld, Netherlands, in 1984, she committed to full-time artistry in 2014 and has earned numerous awards, with plans to venture into ceramics.
