Jürg Kreienbühl and Gilles Aillaud at Galerie Gabrielle Maubrie

Galerie Gabrielle Maubrie in Paris presented a dual exhibition featuring works by Gilles Aillaud (1928-2005) and Jürg Kreienbühl (1932-2007) from March 21 to May 17, 2015. Aillaud, a painter and theater practitioner, was a key figure in the Nouvelle Figuration movement. Kreienbühl, known for his meticulous still lifes and landscapes, brought a distinct hyperrealist approach. The pairing highlighted contrasts in their techniques and thematic preoccupations, with Aillaud's politically engaged animal imagery and Kreienbühl's detailed depictions of everyday objects.
