June Yap appointed curatorial director at Singapore Art Museum
June Yap will assume the role of director for curatorial, programmes, and publication at the Singapore Art Museum in September 2017. She brings ten years of independent curatorial expertise, having served as the Guggenheim UBS MAP Curator for South and Southeast Asia from 2012 to 2014. Yap held the position of deputy director at the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore and represented her country at the Venice Biennale in 2005 and 2011. The museum is currently undergoing extensive renovations that are expected to be finished by 2021 and has been without a permanent director since 2015.
