June Art Fair Moves Online for 2020 Edition, Presented by Hauser & Wirth and ArtReview
The June Art Fair, established in Basel in 2019 as a response to larger art events, is set to take place online from August 20 to 31, 2020, on the Hauser & Wirth platform. Created by gallerists Esperanza Rosales and Christian Andersen, the fair focuses on community engagement and features specially curated exhibitions. In its inaugural year, half of the exhibitors were familiar faces from Basel fairs, while the remaining half were new entrants. This year's virtual format, prompted by COVID-19, will highlight artists such as Bjarne Melgaard, Till Megerle, and Nathan Zhou, among others. ArtReview will support this edition by providing interviews and visual content, aiming to connect with new audiences and explore the pandemic's effects on the art world.
