Julius Baer Launches Digital Art Prize for Southeast Asian Artists
Julius Baer has introduced the first-ever Julius Baer Next Generation Art Prize aimed at digital artists from Southeast Asia, specifically those aged between 18 and 40. The submission period runs from 5 November 2020 to 28 February 2021, concentrating on both still and moving images. A panel will choose 20 finalists, with three winners in each category awarded USD$15,000, USD$10,000, and USD$5,000. Entries should align with one of the bank's 'Next Generation' investment themes. The jury comprises Barbara Staubli, Wiyu Wahono, Cheryl Loh, Audrey Yeo, and Inti Guerrero. Staubli highlighted the bank's dedication to innovation and social responsibility, while Jimmy Lee noted the prize's goal of fostering young artistic talent in Asia.
