Julio Villani's 'Perspectiva em conflito' Opens at RX & Slag Galleries in Paris and New York

Julio Villani presents his exhibition 'Julio Villani. Perspectiva em conflito' at RX & Slag Galleries in Paris, with a new branch in New York's Chelsea, from December 9, 2022, to January 22, 2023. The show features around 20 works where line and color exist in permanent tension. Villani, who left Brazil decades ago, studied at London's Watford School of Art and Paris's École Nationale des Beaux-Arts, establishing himself in Paris since the 1980s. His playful sculptures reference readymades and concrete poetry, using found objects like a triangular teapot or a wooden tape measure. Throughout his career, he has exhibited at institutions including MAC-USP, MAM-SP, Museo del Barrio in New York, and Habitat Center in New Delhi. He is represented by Galerie 1900-2000 and Galerie RX in Paris, and Estação and Raquel Arnaud galleries in Brazil. Villani also recently launched his new website, 'Julio Villani, D’ICI, DE LÀ'.
