Juliana Huxtable's Digital Explorations of Identity and Trans-crafting

Juliana Huxtable, a poet, artist, and DJ from Texas now residing in New York, employs the Internet and social media as crucial tools to explore the boundaries of communication. Her creations delve into fluid identities and community ties within evolving gender landscapes, forming a diverse platform that embraces often overlooked aspects. Huxtable's artistic inquiries express a desire for discarded items and meta-garbage, which are pivotal to a generational culture that articulates a bold multiverse language. The 2015 piece There Are Certain Facts that Cannot Be Disputed, commissioned by MOMA and Performa, showcases samurai-sword-wielding characters and an intersex body representing recycled trauma.
