Julian Klincewicz Transfers Joyous Chorus Archive to Vans Capsule

OTW by Vans has launched a capsule collection with Julian Klincewicz, an artist, filmmaker, and musician. The collaboration draws from his eleven-year daily ritual of drawing to-do lists on random sheets, which he calls Joyous Chorus—a visual archive and mental state rather than a series of artworks. This universe is applied to two archival silhouettes, the Old Skool 36 and Style 31, along with apparel including fleece and jacquard socks. Klincewicz designs with wear and tear in mind, embracing scuffs from skateparks, puddles, and ink stains, rejecting the trend of treating sneakers as collectible investments. The collection evokes Southern California, skate culture, the circus, and summer colors from his childhood in San Diego, with colorways named Ivy Green, Mango Mojito Orange, and Ink.
