Julia Stoschek to launch Berlin satellite space with video art collection in June 2016

German collector Julia Stoschek will inaugurate a Berlin satellite exhibition venue in June 2016, located within a former Czech cultural centre in Mitte. The temporary exhibitions will draw from her extensive collection of approximately 700 video works. Her inaugural Dusseldorf space, established in 2007, now welcomes over 15,000 annual visitors. The Berlin opening coincides with the 9th Berlin Biennale, featuring a thematic focus on digitalization's impact on social reality, identity, and nature. Artists Ian Cheng, Jon Rafman, Juliana Huxtable, Hito Steyerl, and Ed Atkins will present works in the first exhibition, scheduled from 2 June to 18 September 2016.
