Julia Lübbecke Examines Body as Exhausted Resource in Kaufbeuren
Last weekend, Kunsthaus Kaufbeuren unveiled three new exhibitions: Julia Lübbecke's solo presentation "Zärtlichkeit, Zins & Zusammenbruch. Über den Körper als erschöpfte Ressource" in the main hall, Nicola Reiter's "Aftərmähdag" located in the attic, and "KinderKunstNatur" displayed in the foyer. Lübbecke's exhibition marks her first solo show in southern Germany and will be open until November 8, 2026. It includes three series: "Kleber und Falten," "Weiche Knie," and "Slight Discomfort," which explore themes of labor, historical violence, and knowledge creation. Reiter's "Aftərmähdag" highlights agricultural practices in Oberallgäu, while the children's project "experiment:KUNST" features nature-inspired artworks. The exhibitions are supported by the Karin und Uwe Hollweg Stiftung and the Friends of Kunsthaus Kaufbeuren.
