Josefina Temín's Sculptural Dialogue with Nature and Humanity

Josefina Temín, a sculptor hailing from Mexico City, skillfully converts natural shapes into elegant sculptures. Her artistic journey includes studying Sogetsu Ikebana under Asako Ogata, batik with Sally Muglia, drawing with Eduardo Cohen, and sculpture at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. Temín predominantly works with paper, steel, and wood, which she characterizes as silent, noisy, and warm, respectively. Her solo shows, such as Mi Papel and El Papel del Papel, have been displayed in Bulgaria, South Korea, Israel, and the Czech Republic. Recently, she has concentrated on projects highlighting pregnant women in conflict areas. Additionally, she illustrated A Ver Qué Hacemos Mientras Llega Mi Mamá and partnered with UNICEF. Her work is featured in numerous museums, with permanent installations in various sites, and her Proyecto Enseñanza promotes drawing through observation and poetry.
