Jonathan Anderson curates top picks for London Craft Week 2026
Fashion designer Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Dior and founder of JW Anderson, has selected his must-see exhibitions for London Craft Week, running May 11-17, 2026. The event, established in 2015 by luxury investor Guy Salter, features makers from 35 countries across more than 70 disciplines. Anderson's JW Anderson label is a sponsor. He highlights the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize, which he started in 2017, as key to raising the profile of contemporary craft artists. His personal collection includes ceramics by John Ward and Sarah Flynn. Among his picks: a Sotheby's auction of British ceramicists including Lucie Rie, benefiting charity FiredUp4; Pewter Live 2026 at Pewterers' Hall with contemporary pewtersmiths; a talk by artist Emma Witter at Berry Bros & Rudd; a lecture on Japanese lacquerware at the V&A by tea master Sōshin Kimura; studio tours of Japanese-born ceramicists Akiko Hirai, Hitomi Hosono, and Ikuko Iwamoto at the Chocolate Factory; and the Pimlico Road Series featuring weaver Leonie Edmead at Rose Uniacke and linocuts by Ben Nicholson at JW Anderson's store.
