John Tain nominato direttore degli affari curatoriali al Carnegie Museum of Art
A partire dall'8 dicembre, John Tain inizierà il suo nuovo ruolo come direttore degli affari curatoriali al Carnegie Museum of Art. In precedenza ha guidato la ricerca presso l'Asia Art Archive di Hong Kong dal 2017 al 2023. L'anno scorso ha curato la mostra "Translations, Expansions" per documenta fifteen e recentemente ha gestito la terza Biennale di Lahore, dal tema "Of Mountains and Seas". Prima di ciò, ha curato le collezioni moderne e contemporanee al Getty Research Institute di Los Angeles dal 2007 al 2017. A Pittsburgh, collaborerà con il direttore del museo Eric Crosby. Tain fa anche parte del consiglio dell'Asia Forum, è consulente dell'Hauser & Wirth Institute e contribuisce al programma Flow of History incentrato sulle artiste donne del Sud-est asiatico dal XVIII secolo, oltre a svolgere attività editoriale per Intersecting Modernisms.
