Johanna Agerman Ross named chief curator at London's Design Museum
Johanna Agerman Ross will assume the chief curator position at London's Design Museum in September. She leaves her current role at the V&A museum, where she curated twentieth century and contemporary furniture alongside product design. Born in Sweden, Agerman Ross founded the quarterly design journal Disegno and continues to serve as its director. She previously edited the architecture and design magazine Icon. Justin McGuirk, who previously held the chief curator role, will remain at the Design Museum to lead its Future Observatory programme. This design research initiative, launched in 2021, supports the UK's climate crisis response.
