João Tabarra's first anthology exhibition at CAM Gulbenkian

From February 13 to May 18, 2014, the CAM – Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon showcases 'Narrativa Interior (Inner Narrative)', the inaugural anthology exhibition of João Tabarra. Curated by Sara Antónia Matos, this exhibition features a collection of large-format photographs and videos spanning over two decades, arranged in a rhizomatic manner. Dressed in a white shirt, black pants, and shoes, Tabarra delves into themes such as belonging, presence, time, paradox, and fall. His work, influenced by cinema, literature, and philosophy, includes significant pieces like 'Promenades au Désastre' (2001), 'Viagem' (2010), 'Les Limites du Désert' (2010), and 'Tornado' (2007). Simultaneously, Galeria Filomena Soares hosts 'Discrépant' from March 27 to May 17, 2014, which contemplates time and both personal and collective histories.
