João Donato and Donatinho Release Collaborative Album 'Sintetizamor' with Sesc Belenzinho Launch

publication · 2026-04-23

The recent album 'Sintetizamor' is a collaborative effort between seasoned Acrian artist João Donato and his 33-year-old son, composer-producer Donatinho. This work, which features ten tracks, merges electronic sounds, analog synthesizers, and polyphonic reactors. Drawing from his experience in the live PA electronic music scene, Donatinho has included contributions from vocalists and lyricists such as Domenico Lancelotti, Gabriela Riley, and Ronaldo Bastos. The album pays homage to the aesthetics of the 1970s and 1980s, reinterpreting disco and funk, with hits like 'A Lei do Amor' quickly resonating with audiences. The cover art, crafted by Brazilian comic artist Allan Jeff, complements the album, recorded entirely at Donatinho's Synth Love studio. A launch event will take place on Friday, April 4, at 9:30 PM at Sesc Belenzinho, with an age restriction of 18. Notably, Donato will celebrate his 83rd birthday on April 17. New York DJ Greg Caz lauded the album on Facebook, highlighting its perfect timing for summer. Donatinho characterizes the project as "music made with a synthesizer that synthesizes love instead of pain."
