Joanna Kamm resigns as artistic director of Liste Art Fair Basel

festival-fair · 2026-04-20

Joanna Kamm has resigned from her role as artistic director of Liste Art Fair, citing a period of illness and a desire to pursue other goals. Her departure coincides with organizational changes at the fair, following Reto Nussbaum's appointment as commercial director of fair management in October. Peter Bläuer, Liste's co-founder and former director, will serve as interim artistic director for the 2024 edition, with a permanent replacement to be advertised later this year. Urs Gloor, president of the Liste Basel Foundation, praised Kamm's leadership, noting she relocated the fair during the pandemic and enhanced its atmosphere through innovative architecture and art interventions. Under her guidance, Liste introduced two digital formats and strengthened connections, adapting flexibly to contemporary challenges. The fair is scheduled for June 10–16, 2024, in Basel.
