Joan Mitchell Foundation Names 15 Artists as 2026 Fellows
The Joan Mitchell Foundation has revealed the 15 artists selected for its 2026 Fellowships, each receiving $60,000 over a five-year period. The chosen fellows include Krista Clark from Atlanta, GA; Cameron Clayborn from Memphis, TN; Sarah Elizabeth Cornejo from Davidson, NC; Beatriz Cortez from Los Angeles and Davis, CA; Azza El Siddique from New Haven, CT; Sam Frésquez from Chicago, IL; Coulter Fussell from Water Valley, MS; vanessa german from the Blue Ridge Mountains, NC; Porfirio Gutierrez from Ventura, CA; Roscoe Hall from Birmingham, AL; Janet Olivia Henry from Jamaica, NY; Erica Lord from Santa Fe, NM; Rob Rhee from Seattle, WA; Ruben Ulises Rodriguez Montoya from Sunland Park, NM; and Dianna Settles from Lexington, KY. Launched in 2021, the fellowship amounts to approximately $1.3 million for each cohort.
