Joan Gaspar's Ringo light for Marset mimics ice block texture

architecture-design · 2026-05-06

Spanish brand Marset has launched Ringo, a pendant and ceiling lamp designed by Joan Gaspar. The light is made from rotomoulded transparent polycarbonate that develops a dimpled texture similar to blown glass, described by the company as 'astonishing'. Available in 90 or 70 cm diameters, Ringo comes in Smoked, Dark Smoked, Rosé, and Green finishes. It is intended for large contract spaces with high ceilings, such as hotel lobbies. Marset emphasizes that the design accentuates material over form, blending into spaces when lit but standing out as a sculptural object when off. The lamp can be flush mounted, hung from a cable, or fixed to a rigid stem with extension poles of 40 or 60 cm.
