Joachim Montessuis at Galerie Lara Vinci: Sound as Living Matter

exhibition · 2026-04-23

From November 8 to December 10, 2005, Galerie Lara Vinci in Paris will host the inaugural solo exhibition of Joachim Montessuis, an artist recognized for his participation in festivals across Quebec, Berlin, and Barcelona. This exhibition showcases a CD featuring twelve sound tracks, made possible by a grant for first exhibitions. Notable pieces such as Messagier and Cutupélieu emphasize sonic interaction rather than mere aesthetics. Montessuis also edits the review Erratum, which includes a box set of three CDs in its fourth issue, featuring collaborations with artists like AGF and Lee Ranaldo. The exhibition delves into themes of Eros, with works like La Mer dangereuse and Erotos, presenting sound as a dynamic entity and offering an immersive electronic Fourierist experience.
