Jingge Dong's Solo Show at Palazzo Tubertini During Arte Fiera

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Curated by Daniele Capra, Jingge Dong's solo exhibition 'The Goddess of the Luo River' is presented during Arte Fiera in Bologna. The ten works are hung on a plasterboard wall in the Art Nouveau atrium of Palazzo Tubertini. The paintings, on canvas and paper, blur the line between figurative and non-figurative, abstract and concrete. Dong (Beijing, 1989) creates independent chromatic situations that appear abstract but are concrete, generated ex-nihilo. His works represent only themselves, no longer depicting the world. A residual figuration tends to fade due to the explosion of color—blue, gray, brown, compact black, evanescent light blue, exhausted yellow. Dong arranges these choices on canvas or paper following his own rhythm.
