Jessica Oreck's Office of Collecting and Design: A Museum in a Camper

A 13-meter vintage camper houses the Office of Collecting and Design, a mobile museum founded by Jessica Oreck. The collection includes dollhouse items, dice, lenses, pen nibs, and buttons, all meticulously organized. Oreck describes it as "an elaborate installation of fragments left from our collective memory." Located near downtown Las Vegas, the camper is itinerant, having visited San Diego and other US cities. It was built over eight months with Kickstarter funding. When not open to the public, Oreck catalogs the collections or creates stop-motion animations using the objects. Evenings transform the space into a venue for readings, workshops, meetings, and candlelit dinners. Special projects include the Decoder Club, which deciphers secret messages and strange objects, and the Treasure Club, which sends members a small object monthly.
