Jessica Morgan Appointed Director of Dia Art Foundation Starting January 2015
In January 2015, Jessica Morgan will take on the role of director at Dia Art Foundation. Currently, she is the artistic director for the 10th Gwangju Biennale, which began on September 5, 2014. Since 2002, Morgan has been part of Tate in a curatorial capacity. Her past positions include chief curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Established in 1974, Dia Art Foundation hosts temporary installations, performances, lectures, and readings at its Chelsea site on West 22nd Street, and is in the process of creating a new project space. An interview with Morgan regarding the Gwangju Biennale was released on September 11, 2014.
