Jessica Borusky Appointed Executive Director of Whatcom Museum

Effective July 1, 2026, Jessica Borusky will assume the role of executive director at the Whatcom Museum, following a comprehensive selection procedure by the museum's Board of Trustees. Borusky will succeed Patricia Leach, who departed from the position in April 2025. Maria J. Coltharp, currently the Director of Collections and Operations, has been serving as the interim executive director during this transition. Prior to this appointment, Borusky led the Pratt Fine Arts Center located in Seattle, Washington. Their educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree from the New College of Florida and a Master of Fine Arts from Tufts University.
