Jesse Jacobs collaborates with Queen Bee Games on psychedelic platformer Spinch
Canadian illustrator and cartoonist Jesse Jacobs has announced a collaboration with independent studio Queen Bee Games to develop a side-scrolling platform video game titled Spinch, scheduled for release next summer. The teaser trailer showcases Jacobs' psychedelic universe filled with alien creatures, anthropomorphic architecture, and sci-fi settings. The game features music by multimedia artist James Kirkpatrick. Players control a hyper-agile organism tasked with rescuing its missing offspring from monstrous enemies and complex obstacles. Jacobs is known for mystical and sci-fi books such as 'E così conoscerai l’universo e gli dei' and 'Safari honeymoon' (both published by Eris Edizioni), and for his work as a storyboard artist on 'Adventure Time'. He recently visited Italy for exhibitions at the Ratatà Festival in Macerata and the Treviso Comic Book Festival.
