award · 2026-04-20

Applications are now being accepted for the 2016 Jerwood/FVU Awards, which operate under the curatorial theme 'Borrowed Time'. The deadline for artists to submit is 27 March. Two winners will be chosen in early May 2015, each receiving £20,000 to develop a significant new piece over ten months. Full production backing from FVU accompanies the prize, along with access to the moving-image resources at the University of East London's School of Arts and Digital Industries. The resulting works will be shown at Jerwood Space in London from 9 March to 4 April 2016, and later at CCA in Glasgow during June and July 2016. This follows the presentation of projects by the 2015 recipients, Lucy Clout and Marianna Sminett, whose works were exhibited at Jerwood Space from 11 March to 26 April 2015 and at CCA from 29 May to 12 July 2015.
