Jerwood Drawing Prize 2015 shortlist features 58 artists from over 2,500 submissions
Fifty-eight artists have been selected for the 2015 Jerwood Drawing Prize shortlist from more than 2,500 open submissions. The judging panel consists of artist Dexter Dalwood, curator and writer Salima Hashmi, and art historian John-Paul Stonard. Winners will be announced at the exhibition preview on September 15, 2015, with a first prize of £8,000, second prize of £5,000, and two student awards of £2,000 each. The exhibition will run at Jerwood Space in London from September 15 to October 25, 2015. Among the shortlisted artists are Hannah Blight-Anderson, Bryan Eccleshall, Thomas Gosebruch, William Mackrell, Lee John Phillips, Annette Robinson, Caroline Shadbolt, Soheila Sokhanvari, and Hanna ten Doornkaat. The annual award recognizes excellence in drawing practice.
