digital · 2026-04-20

Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller will release a free downloadable animated artwork beginning July 7. The project, commissioned for the tenth anniversary of the Own Art loan scheme, builds upon his 2013 Venice Biennale installation 'English Magic'. The animation will be divided into 10,000 individual still images available for download online. A final screening of the complete animation is scheduled for July 19 at both Westfield shopping centres in Stratford and Shepherd's Bush. Own Art is an interest-free loan program established by Arts Council England to facilitate contemporary art collecting.
