Jeremy Anderson's whimsical ceramics and furniture debut at Gallery Fumi New York
Jeremy Anderson presents 'Held In Light,' his largest solo show to date, at Gallery Fumi's New York residency in Gallerie 56, located in Herzog & de Meuron's 56 Leonard Street tower. The exhibition features 21 pieces including a dining table, cabinet, and daybed, all combining bronze frames with ceramic slabs painted in Anderson's signature stripes. Anderson, who co-founded the lighting studio Apparatus before returning to ceramics full-time, transforms familiar objects into whimsical, anthropomorphic forms. Highlights include a daybed with a French horsehair mattress in Zak + Fox fabric and 19th-century homespun bolster cushions. Gallery Fumi co-owner Sam Pratt notes the hand-made quality and universal memory-evoking resonance of the work. The show runs through July 3, 2026.
