Jenny Walton Launches 'Jenny Sais Quoi' with Carlyle Hotel Celebration

Jenny Walton, an illustrator, painter, and contributor to Vogue, hosted a cocktail celebration for her new book, 'Jenny Sais Quoi: Adventures in Vintage and Personal Style,' in The Carlyle Hotel's presidential suite. Released by Monacelli/Phaidon, the book comprises watercolors and essays that inspire readers to think creatively about their personal style instead of following strict guidelines. Walton noted that in 2026, such a prescriptive approach seems outdated. Featured essays include 'Flow State Fashion' and 'Off The Algorithm,' which encourage viewing one's wardrobe as a child's dress-up box and cultivating taste beyond social media. Guests included Christopher John Rogers, Tommy Ton, and Vogue's Lisa Aiken, enjoying Central Park views and a cake designed by Lilli Maren to resemble Walton's dog, Aurora. Meanwhile, waiters from Bemelmans Bar served martinis in Art Deco glassware, and Vestiaire Collective showcased Walton's Hermes, Chanel, and Prada pieces. Looking ahead, she plans to speak at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London during the new Schiaparelli exhibition and is relocating from Milan to Santa Barbara with her fiancé Nick, known as 'the plane guy,' whom she met on a flight last year.
