Jeff Koons and Lexon launch colorful Balloon Dog lamp and speaker
Jeff Koons has collaborated with French design brand Lexon on the Chromatic Collection, a limited-edition series of Balloon Dog lamps and speakers in vivid colors. The collection includes gold, blue, red, and platinum (lamp) or white (speaker) hardware, available only in 2026. The translucent polycarbonate bodies expose the technology inside: the lamp contains nearly 400 LEDs with nine color modes, while the speaker has 10 built-in speakers, six active drivers, four passive boosters, and two microphones. Each piece is engraved with Koons' signature and verified by hologram and certificate of authenticity. The collaboration required over 50,000 hours of R&D to integrate lighting and audio into the iconic sculptural form. Lexon CEO Boris Brault said adding color brings emotion and joie de vivre to everyday objects. Koons described the pieces as an exciting way for Balloon Dog to enter daily life where art, design, and technology converge.
