JBRock's Moleskine Black Wall benefits ADHD art workshops

Italian street artist JBRock (born Rome, 1979) created the work "MOLESKINE, il tuo UNIVERSO" on a wall of 960 Moleskine notebooks, forming the 12-meter "Moleskine Black Wall" at the MACRO Hall in Rome. The piece is part of the exhibition "Cross the Streets" at MACRO, curated by Paulo von Vacano and ideated by Drago, running until October 1. The show surveys 40 years of street art in Italy and abroad, highlighting Rome's special connection to the movement—dating back to 1979 when Galleria La Medusa hosted the first graffiti exhibition outside the US. Works by early graffiti artists like Lee Quinones, Fab 5 Freddy, Napal, Brus, Jon, and Koma are displayed alongside contemporary writers such as WK Interact, Shepard Fairey (Obey the Giant), Daim, Chaz Bojorquez, Evol, Diamond, Lucamaleonte, and JBRock. The Moleskine Black Wall was painted during the exhibition's inauguration in May 2017. Each of the 960 notebooks is sold individually for €50, with proceeds donated to ARTEinMENTE to fund free art workshops for children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Each notebook includes a QR code certifying authenticity and allowing owners to register via the Vericode platform (provided by TraceToo) into the Moleskine Black Wall art-sharing owner network, enabling future contact for potential re-exhibitions of JBRock's work. The notebooks are available at the MACRO bookshop and on the e-store of Drago, the publishing house producing the exhibition.
