Jazdím Čiernu Stredu and REPETE Collaborate on Custom Bike Frames

architecture-design · 2026-05-03

Jazdím Čiernu Stredu (JČS), an all-female cycling crew based in Bratislava, has partnered with REPETE, a Prague-based handmade steel bike frame builder, to design custom bicycles for key members Zita, Gabika, and Zuz. The design, led by NICE GUY and Matej Špánik, features a dark blue and white palette with light pink accents, rounded fonts, playful illustrations, and messages like "don't forget to drink!" The bikes symbolize JČS's mission of female empowerment and community building. The group organizes cycling trips that combine riding with education on group cycling rules and discussions on feminism. Photos were taken by Bára Tabačková, Nora, and Jakub, with photo direction by Tabačková.
