Jasia Reichardt discusses 1960s curatorial work in Afterall talk

On January 23, 2014, Afterall published a video featuring Jasia Reichardt in dialogue with David Morris, part of the Exhibition Histories series. Reichardt discussed the artistic developments of the 1950s in her presentation 'In Anticipation of the 1960s' and elaborated on her curatorial endeavors during the 1960s. Notable exhibitions she curated include 'Image in Progress' (Grabowski Gallery, 1962), which was the first British Pop Art exhibition in London; 'Between Poetry and Painting' (ICA, 1965), focused on concrete poetry; and 'Cybernetic Serendipity' (ICA, 1968), the inaugural large-scale international showcase of computer and electronic arts. This series is a partnership with Whitechapel Gallery, London, and is part of the Exhibition Histories research initiative by Afterall and the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.
