JAS and C& Launch Critical Writing Workshop in Kingston

Jamaica Art Society (JAS) and Contemporary And (C&) are organizing a three-day Critical Writing Workshop for emerging art critics in Kingston, Jamaica. The workshop will be held at the National Gallery of Jamaica from April 11 to April 13, 2024. It aims to train early-career art writers in reviewing, editing, and pitching to media platforms. Facilitators include Seph Rodney, PhD, former senior critic at Hyperallergic and author of The Personalization of the Museum Visit, and Annie Paul, editor-in-chief of PREE and board member of the National Gallery of Jamaica. Participants will have the opportunity to publish on C& and C& América Latina magazines. Applications are due March 11, 2024, and only 20 applicants will be accepted.
