Jarman Award 2014 Shortlist Announced
The seventh edition of the Jarman Award has unveiled its shortlist of ten emerging moving image creators from the UK, including notable figures like John Akomfrah and Laura Buckley. The selected winner will receive £10,000 along with a commission from Channel 4 for a new project. Furthermore, three additional artists will be awarded £4,000 each for their own commissions. Past laureates consist of Luke Fowler (2008), Lindsay Seers (2009), and John Smith (2013). The winner will be announced on December 8 at the Whitechapel Gallery, with a judging panel featuring prominent art professionals.
