Jane Fonda, 87, returns as VR fitness coach on Meta Quest

At nearly 90, Jane Fonda is reviving her fitness empire through virtual reality. The actress, who revolutionized home exercise with the 1982 VHS tape "Jane Fonda Workout"—the best-selling video of all time with 17 million copies sold across 23 series between 1982 and 1985—has partnered with Supernatural, a VR fitness brand available on Meta Quest headsets. The new workouts, currently exclusive to the US and Canada, include four immersive sessions set in locations like Machu Picchu and New Zealand's Milford Sound. Two videos feature rapper Ludacris leading boxing and group workouts. A stretch routine, "Jane Fonda: Stretch," is also included. The initiative reflects a broader Age Positivity trend in Hollywood, exemplified by Demi Moore's Golden Globe for "The Substance," Nicole Kidman's "Babygirl," and Pamela Anderson's makeup-free era. Fonda's return leverages Meta's VR platform, owned by Mark Zuckerberg's Meta.
