James Flora (1914–1998), the American illustrator and art director known for his jazz record covers for Columbia Records and RCA Victor, has his children's book 'Che paura, nonno!' published in Italy for the first time by Cliquot Edizioni. The book, originally unpublished in Italy, features a grandfather telling scary stories to his grandson, blending Flora's signature style of geometric patterns, post-Cubist influences, and Tiki aesthetics. Flora studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati (1936–1939), worked at Columbia Records as art director (1943–1945), later moved to Mexico to paint, and returned to the US in 1951 to work for RCA Victor. From 1955, he wrote and illustrated 17 children's books. The 40-page book costs €18.00 and is available at www.cliquot.it.
