James cancels Belladrum headline set as Tim Booth loses voice; Razorlight steps in

The indie band James from Manchester has had to withdraw from their headline act at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival due to frontman Tim Booth losing his voice from a viral infection. Festival producer Dougie Brown noted that it’s uncommon to lose a headliner, but prioritizing health is essential, acknowledging the letdown for fans. Razorlight will now headline, while Scottish artist Cammy Barnes, who impressed a large audience on Thursday, has been elevated to perform on the Hot House main stage. Booth shared a video on social media, expressing his struggle with the infection and the rarity of show cancellations. James has two upcoming tour dates: one in Portugal next week and another in Norwich on 20 August. The festival, located near Beauly, anticipates over 20,000 attendees and features acts like Callum Beattie, Mika, The Human League, Rizzle Kicks, and Scouting for Girls, with the final day themed 'party animals' and broadcasted on BBC Alba and iPlayer.
