Jaguar launches JaguArt roadshow with Artissima, awards Matteo Pizzolante

Jaguar has partnered with Artissima to launch JaguArt, The Italian Talent Road Show, a hybrid prize and traveling exhibition format. The initiative debuted on December 12 at the Jaguar Lario Mi Auto dealership in Milan, awarding Matteo Pizzolante (born 1989 in Tricase, Lecce) for his work Silent Sun, which explores the gap between sculpture and industrial design using 3D modeling and digital reconstruction. The jury included Artissima director Ilaria Bonacossa, an artist or curator, and a representative from the godmother gallery. Pizzolante was selected from five artists: Andrea Bocca, Federico Cantale, Gaia De Megni, and Cecilia Di Bonaventura. His godmother gallery is Vistamare (Pescara-Milano), which will host a solo show at its Milan space on January 15, 2020. Over nearly a year, until Artissima 2020 in November, the roadshow will visit ten Italian cities: Milan, Turin, Bologna, Venice, Genoa, Rome, Naples, Florence, Brescia, and Catania. At each dealership, a show of five artists will be presented, and the ten winners across cities will participate in a collective exhibition at Artissima 2020. Works are judged on their dialogue with elegance and innovation, core to Jaguar's identity. The partnership strengthens Artissima's role in promoting emerging art while offering brands creative engagement.
