Jagdip Jagpal named director of India Art Fair as founder Neha Kirpal steps down

Jagdip Jagpal has been named the new director of India Art Fair, taking over from founder Neha Kirpal, who will step down from her position but continue as a co-owner. Jagpal's previous experience includes overseeing international partnerships and programs at Tate, along with serving as a trustee for the Wallace Collection. Her expertise spans cultural initiatives in South Asia, the UK, and China, and she worked alongside Maria Balshaw, director of Tate, on the New North and South network, which connects 11 arts organizations in South Asia and Northern England. Currently, she is a governor at the London School of Economics and is involved with the Royal College of Art's development board. Kirpal will still focus on the fair and other regional projects. This announcement was made public by The Art Newspaper on August 21, 2017.
